"I want to get rich and buy three trampolines"
On the trip to Aberdeen, I met Aaron, a fellow Mechanical Engineering student. I was a bit lame when I asked the usual, cliche question that everyone ask each other at college: "What do you want to do with your degree?" Aaron said "I want to get rich a buy three trampolines." Period...No other explanation.
My tiny little brain was expecting something along the line of:
- I want to do research in xyz
- I am passionate about abc since 123
- My family has a tradition of wbc
- My dream job is qjk
So it was totally blown away. I literally went "No way!?" π€―. I imagine I looked like the painting The Scream at the moment I heard that answer. I asked Aaron to clarify, why does he want three trampolines, and why three?
He said he wants the three trampolines to bounce around, video it, and send to the people who told him he cannot make it to be an engineer. Solid 10/10 answer. I can't really time travel to see if he will actually do it, but I am sure Aaron does have a handful of meme t-shirts.
